From Research to Reality: Encouraging the Implementation of Innovative Technologies
Final Report
CHAPTER 3. LEAD STATES TEAMS TRANSITION PLANS
The Lead States Teams sunset in the fall 2000. Although they leave a legacy of accomplishments, there is still some follow-up work to be done. With input from the Lead States Teams, the Task Force identified which AASHTO committee(s) is the likely "home" for continued work and developed detailed plans for effecting a smooth transition to the committees. The Task Force then presented a resolution to the AASHTO Standing Committee on Highways, asking for approval and support of this effort.
The Lead States Teams held one final workshop on September 2000, to finalize their individual transition plans. For complete details, see the full reports in the sections of the web site for each team. What follows are summaries of the Teams' plans.
